about

Complete and entire recordings of the junkyard blues techno two-piece including demos and retardations.

The year 2009. Another band was spawned on earth. Like the legendary one man band Bob Log III remarked "I wrote all those songs!". They survived for an entire two years, with one audience member in a small town in Germany remarking "That was the worst show I've ever seen!". The duo briefly returned for 2 shows in Australia during the year 2013. Never to be seen again.

“New bands: All setting out for new innovation; churning out batches of alternative quirky sounds that have never been established, atonal and bitonal keys- just to be different. Few succeed. However, if any band were to be awarded for sounding like nothing but themselves, it would be this band. They have conquered the art of difference and are destined to be revolutionaries of the music industry.” – UK Critic.

Cult Australian band from 2008-2010. Comparable to the late great Doo Rag but at once better and worse. Instrumentation consisted of an out of tune guitar and a collection of rubbish for percussion. Their debut show was at a Laundromatte in Brunswick. In 2008 they released a poly-carbonate limited edition 7” record called Put That Thing On (on their own Baboso Records) featuring four high-speed hit tunes. It sold out in one week. There were only 20 copies produced. Following this in 2009 with their debut album Neanderthal Dance Floor Volume Three featuring 13 songs in just over 24 minutes which unusually became album of the week on the popular independent radio station WFMU in the USA. They toured around Europe once and sold cans of food as merchandise. They were kicked off stage in Launceston (Australia) after playing their first song. They have been declared the worst band to ever play the city of Bonn (Germany).

“You’re warming the hands over the fire in your cave as your wife skins and guts the baby triceratops. Interspousal communication is hard, even in 80,000 BC. Even when your missus is 2nd generation anourous. Especially when she’s takes all the juicy fat off with the skin. Remembering better times, you grunt and storm off to the party district. It’s time to dance. You enter your old stomping ground, the Rave Cave. There’s an old fellow who’s tied six vines across the arched spine of a pterodactyl. And a primate smashing two bones into the skull of a gator and a slightly rusty Russell Hobbs 4-burner toaster from the future. (It’s the chrome one that doesn’t show fingerprints.) And this is what they play.” – Strategasm Blog

“Your humble reviewer has to confess that he is quite nervous about covering this particular disc. It‘s just not the sort of blues many of you are likely to be familiar with. Recorded live to 4-track cassette in the dusty backroads of suburban Northcote using the cheapest microphones and instruments available this album is a noisy lo-fi cacophony containing as many false starts as it does songs yet there‘s an undeniable power in the music this duo creates. With a DIY attitude that owes as much to punk rock and Bob Log III as it does to the pre-war slide guitar masters this album leaves me grinning from ear to ear every time I play it. Believe it or not, this album is just one sample from a micro-movement of trashy, punk rock blues enthusiasts busily recording albums and playing shows off the radar of the majority of the blues scene but in their enthusiasm and respect for the spirit if not the letter of their influences it‘s guys like this who in many ways represent the future of the music we all love. Wrap your ears around it and make up your own mind. Me, I love it” – Melbourne Blues Appreciatioon Society
