BEEF CASINO was an imaginary band that existed around 2005-2007 inspired by 6 months of living in the attic of a squat in Antwerp, Belgium. Exposed to a diverse abundance of cartoon jazz and a rooms full of broken instruments, Cozy Cole and Raymond Scott commanded the morning ears whilst the drip coffee was being waited upon.

It was a three/four story building on the riverside and barges were always coming and going. Having a piano on each story made for great collaborations via the stairwells.

The toilets were rank.

Villadelfia, as it was known, and maybe it still is, was and always will be, was a courageous steaming pie, a warm nesting place for young and old worldwide imaginaries, wonderful sceptics, inventors, dissidents and illusionists.

Beef Casino was born in this old ship yard building upon a piano in the foyer of the building. This is where Villadelfia Drag was composed along with many other Beef Casino tunes.
